Emory Redd is the Director of the Portfolio Construction Solutions Group and is responsible for managing Federated Hermes’ suite of portfolio construction solutions for advisors in the intermediary client channels. This includes applications for evaluating model asset allocation, manager selection and underlying portfolio composition. Technology driven scenario stress testing for unintended portfolio risk is an area of focus. Prior to this role, Emory held the Senior Portfolio Strategist position in Portfolio Construction Solutions for 7 years.

Mr. Redd has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry. He joined Federated Hermes from the Heinz Family Office, where he was a Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst. He is a Trustee of The Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation.

Mr. Redd began his investment career in 2006 with Federated Hermes. Before leaving to attend graduate school, he was an Associate Research Analyst responsible for $1 billion par value of municipal bonds. He earned an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University with a focus on finance, economics, and communications. He graduated from Washington & Jefferson with a BA in Accounting.

Emory holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) certification. The CIMA® certification incorporates advanced investment management consulting coursework through The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Emory also attended Wharton Executive Education’s Private Wealth Management Program.
