Consider giving to the K-9 Community Fund
AmeriServ Supports the K-9 Community Fund - Will You Donate?
The Johnstown Police Department is in need of new K-9 vehicles. The Cambria Somerset Labor Management Committee helped establish a donation program through the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies. Jack Babich, AmeriServ Human Resource Senior Vice President, spearheaded this project.
"This is a perfect example of the community, labor and management, both public and private, working together for a common cause - and that cause is for the greater good of the entire community. Collectively, what we are doing will benefit the region as a whole, not just the city of Johnstown." explains Jack.
To donate to the Fund, call the Community Foundation at 814-536-7741.

A vintage holiday display from Glosser Brothers. AmeriServ is looking for more displays like this one for next year.
AmeriServ Bank Searching For More Vintage Holiday Displays
AmeriServ is searching for additional vintage holiday window displays from Glosser Brothers, Penn Traffic, or other department stores. Last year, the bank purchased and refurbished the first two holiday displays for public viewing and placed them at their downtown Johnstown office. Residents of the city who grew up there were very familiar with Glosser Brothers and Penn Traffic, two former department stores that were long time anchors of downtown Johnstown’s retail landscape.
Over the course of the past holiday season, thousands of people visited our downtown Johnstown office, brought their families, took many photos and made new memories. Glenn Wilson, President and CEO, witnessed the crowds firsthand. “We’re always thinking of ways to give back to the communities we serve. The holiday displays were a unique way to accomplish this. I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of people who have stopped by our office to see them. This is a tradition we want to continue for years to come. We’re hoping someone can help us find the additional displays.”
If anyone has any information regarding additional holiday displays from Glosser Brothers, Penn Traffic, or other department stores, please contact Dan Hummel, Executive Vice President of Corporate Marketing by email at email@example.com or by phone at 814-533-5345.
