SWEEPSTAKES RULES

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary in order to enter to win.

ELIGIBILITY

The Sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. residents, AmeriServ Bank customers and noncustomers, eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Sponsor has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant. This sweepstakes is not open to AmeriServ Financial Inc. employees or their immediate families, nor to the Board of Directors of AmeriServ Financial, Inc. No purchase necessary.

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD

The Sweepstakes begins at 12 p.m. EST on December 1, 2024 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on December 12, 2024 (“Sweepstakes Period”). All entries (“Submissions”) must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on December 12, 2024. Sponsor reserves the right to extend or shorten the sweepstakes at their sole discretion.

HOW TO ENTER

A multi-colored graphic “gift package” will be placed on different pages of the AmeriServ (ameriserv.com) website each day during the Sweepstakes Period. Participants will need to locate the “gift package”, click on the image to access the entry form, and submit the form as required by these rules. Entries will be accepted online via the form accessible by clicking the “gift package” found on the ameriserv.com website. Participants may submit one entry per day, per email address. Entrants must fill out all required fields on the entry form to participate in the sweepstakes.

Entries may also be submitted by writing your full name, address, phone number and email address on a 3x5” index card and mailing it to:

Only one entry card per envelope per day. Please indicate on the index card if you do not wish to receive marketing materials as a result of entering the sweepstakes. Submissions must not contain offensive material.

WINNER SELECTION

All eligible entries received during the Submission Period will be gathered into a database at the end of the Submission Period. The Sweepstakes begins at 12 p.m. EST on December 1, 2024 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on December 12, 2024 (“Sweepstakes Period”). All entries (“Submissions”) must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on December 12, 2024. Sponsor reserves the right to extend or shorten the sweepstakes at their sole discretion. One winner will be randomly selected to win the prize outlined below in PRIZES. The winner will be announced on the AmeriServ Facebook and Instagram pages before 11:59 p.m. EST on December 16, 2024. The winner will also be notified by phone and email on or before 11:59 p.m. EST on December 16, 2024. 

Instructions for prize collection will be sent to the winners' email that was collected on the sweepstakes entry form or provided verbally over the phone. Winner must supply their full name, address, and social security number to receive the required 1099-Misc form prior to claiming the prize. Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his/her e-mail account for prize notification and any other communications related to this Sweepstakes. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by AmeriServ (Sponsor) or fails to provide the required information within ten (10) days, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize. After 10 days following primary contact and receiving no response, an alternate winner will be randomly selected and contacted via email/phone.

PRIZES

The randomly selected winner will receive $1,000 in the form of a check from AmeriServ Financial, Inc.

Terms and conditions may apply. Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses not which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in the Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt, and use of all or any portion of the prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL TAX ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE IS SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Sweepstakes, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting or these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Sweepstakes, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Sponsor determines that the Sweepstakes cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorized intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Sweepstakes. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Sponsor reserves the right to void suspect entries at issue. Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.

INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES, THE META PLATFORMS, ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES.

PUBLICITY

By participating, each entrant grants Sponsor permission to use the photo, his/her name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment, except where prohibited by law.
